A super rare e21 find in Virginia

In the super rare catagory, this one makes the list of era-tuner vehicles.
At first only because it's a Baur. As the add says, it's a Dietel car as well. If Dietel tuned the engine and body kit and suspention as the owner says, it's extra rare, but the opportunity is there that it might also be a genuine Alpina. As i said, it says Dietel tuned but...my geuss is it's atleast Alpina parts. At that price, it still makes good as a parts car. The rust looks bad enough, parts cars makes the best assumption.

1979 Dietel Alpina Baur

  1. I actually own the vehicle that was advertised. After several inquiries, I began to question the previous owner's representation (to my brother) that it was a Dietel. I was able to locate Mike Dietel a couple days ago. He said that he did not recall his shop installing a Dietel package on a Baur. He added that he sold packages to companies across the U.S. He also noted that the rear spoiler is not his. Conclusion, it looks like another shop installed some Dietel touches with some influences of its own.

As a result of this new information and the regret over selling my 1982, I have taken the car off the market.
